about

ABOUT THE SONG:
This song is best enjoyed while viewing the beautiful music video to this song by clicking here: www.ur2.global/if-it-s-my-last-----leave-with-self-esteem.html.
The song and music video remind us that this life is no dress rehearsal, and written to soothe a soul as one contemplates, embraces and accepts the ending of this physical life journey. I found that there were many songs that celebrate life as well as many songs for funerals but there were no songs that assisted mankind during the actual process of transitioning back to the Creator.
As a bonus, this song may also be used at one's final rite of passage to uplift family members and friends because the lyrics may also be interpreted as if one's loved one's are receiving a message from their departed loved one. And as a wonderful surprise, even those "without" this particular issue have found the song to be very life affirming and a great reminder to "cease the day".

If it's my last day
may I have time to pray.
Here's my last thing to say:
I didn't come to stay.

If it's my last morn
from since the day I was born,
hope I exceeded the norm
and saw more rainbows than storms.

If it's my last night
where I ascend into light,
may I have shone bright,
trusting its all right.

If it's my last now,
I make my peace right now.
Forgiving all's my vow
sending out love somehow.

If it's my last breath,
I know there were no tests.
I always did my best
as I lay down to rest.

If it's my last rite,
know that you're in my sight.
No need for no fright,
I'm just a star lighting the night.

If it's my last goodbye
watch as my spirit flies
into the heavenly skies
where the Creator lies.

SAXOPHONE SOLO

REPEAT:

If it's my last day,
may I have time to pray.
Here's my last thing to say:
I didn't come to stay.

If it's my last night
where I ascend into light,
may I have shone bright,
trusting its all right.

If it's my last now,
I make my peace right now.
FORGIVING all's my vow
sending out LOVE somehow.
