The song and music video remind us that this life is no dress rehearsal, and written to soothe a soul as one contemplates, embraces and accepts the ending of this physical life journey. I found that there were many songs that celebrate life as well as many songs for funerals but there were no songs that assisted mankind during the actual process of transitioning back to the Creator.
As a bonus, this song may also be used at one's final rite of passage to uplift family members and friends because the lyrics may also be interpreted as if one's loved one's are receiving a message from their departed loved one. And as a wonderful surprise, even those "without" this particular issue have found the song to be very life affirming and a great reminder to "cease the day".
